YOU SPOKE, WE LISTENED

Thank you to all of our students who provided their feedback in our last student survey. Your feedback is extremely important to us and each term we do what we can to continuously improve our courses, campuses and resources.

This page is aimed to share our improvements and provide updates on our ‘You Spoke, We Listened’ campaign.

CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS

ALL CAMPUSES

Friendly staff members at our campus reception are helping students with enquiries at all campuses. Promoting student involvement in campus activities, such as decorating our campuses during Halloween and Christmas, and participating in the graduation ceremony with our 2022 graduates.

ACADEMIC IMPROVEMENTS

ALL COURSES

Introduction and integration of plagiarism detector platform – Copyleaks with our Learning Management System – Canvas.

Interactive and extensive Structured Study Plan built on Learning Management System – Canvas to effectively complete online component of self-paced study each week to assist students to revise the topic delivered in class and help complete summative assessments successfully. This new interface allows students to track their activities to ensure they meet the minimum requirement of 20 scheduled course contact hours each week.

AGED CARE

We have improved the work placement logbooks. The logbooks are much easier to complete with condensed information and instructions. The assessment tasks and instructions are improved, so they are easier to be understood by the international students. The tables and templates are placed into the individual assessments, so students know exactly what needs to be filled out for each task.

COMMUNITY SERVICES, COUNSELLING & MENTAL HEALTH

Assessments are more streamlined and improved with easy to complete templates and real-life scenarios for role plays and simulations. Incorporating excursions and guest speaker into learning plan offering our students more exposure to industry. Improved work placement logbooks with provision of ‘Submissions requirement checklist’ enabling students to complete the assessment successfully.

MASSAGE

We have updated learning materials to ensure all concepts are clear and integrated. The online structure study plan has been improved and expanded. Improvement of assessment to apply critical thinking which is essential to work in the massage industry.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE

Face to face and online tutorial support session are offered every Friday to many students. In the support session, students are given tips for success on work placement and task related power points. Assessments templates are updated in line with students’ feedback. More hands-on based learning in the classroom and excursions to embed learning concepts are implemented.

FITNESS

Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness Learning resources have been improved. The assessments have been improved with clear instructions. The embedded forms and templates within the individual task ensure students know what needs to be completed to fulfil task requirements. Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management with less repetition and making assessments easier to complete. We have offered additional academic support sessions to students.

YOGA

We have updated the learning materials, improved online structured study plan and practical delivery format, and streamlined assessments.

STUDENT VOICE FACEBOOK GROUP

This Facebook group is for our students to join and will be managed by our Campus Student Voice Representatives.

It is an open and safe ‘private group’ where you can ask each other questions, share ideas, exchange study tips, or simply encourage each other along to successfully complete their respective courses. This group is a great way to share community news and events across all campus locations.
