Fitness, Massage and Yoga Teaching
“The best part about studying with ALG is the supportive teachers, good facilities, wide range of resources for studies. After finishing my Certificate III I found a job as a trainer straight away mostly because of the motivation from my teachers, and completing practical lessons in a gym facility that offered me a position as a trainer.
As a trainer I love helping people achieve their goals, motivate them, teach them and be part of very talented teams.
My advice to current students is that there’s always opportunity if you want it and look for it. Do what you are really passionate about and always maintain your knowledge.”

“My name is Agnes and I am from Japan. I have been in Australia for 1 year and am currently studying Diploma of Remedial Massage.
The benefits of studying this course is learning about anatomy and how the human body works, understanding problems and planning the treatment to suit each client. You learn new things every day and it keeps me passionate about treating people.
I like being able to work within your own capability and keep customers satisfied as well as being able to network with other allied health professionals and learn from them.
My passion is being able to help people and make them happy. In the future I would love to work on a cruise as a massage therapist.”
Alessandra came to visit Australia in 2019 on a student visa to study English first. She has been practising yoga since she was a child with her Aunt who was a yoga teacher back in Brazil. So she followed her passion and decided to study something she loves and really wants to do in Australia.
Alessandra’s dream is to create her own yoga retreat which combines teaching yoga together with other holistic therapies.
She wants you to know that “Yoga is not just exercise for your body, but something for your mind and soul. It’s a lifestyle and there is a big philosophy to it”
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
“I’m so happy I chose ALG to study early childhood education and care. During my studies I had wonderful teachers who helped me gain professional skills and knowledge. Thanks to ALG, I am currently employed as an early childhood educator at Goodstart Childcare Centre and I absolutely love it! I’ve been working there for over a year now. I cannot thank everyone enough at Australian Learning Group for their support, education, friendliness and help.
Educating and caring for children has always been a passion for me. I learn so much from them and I love interacting with them, as well as getting to know their unique and special personalities.
I would 100% recommend ALG to international students. From teachers to receptionists, you always get help and support. It’s a great environment, the classes are interactive and you learn so much. I’ve made lifetime friends and it was an amazing experience for me.”
“I chose to study early childhood education to improve my knowledge and keep my mind healthy towards helping others. The best part about studying at ALG are the people I study with, students, teachers and staff.
I think studying is one of the best things to keep us alive. It;s important to build new relationships, meet new people and help others with our knowledge and experience. ALG has all of that and more. Take the time and the opportunity to do it.”
“Even though I only got to go to ALG once I feel that my experience has been really good online. At times it has been hard but I feel that the school is doing their very best of what they can do with this lockdown situation. ALG has been very helpful when I contact, the teachers have been great too.
The college has provided me with a lot of information and other resources such as First Aid etc. It has given so many resources to help understand childcare and the knowledge I have gained has made me confident for workplacement.
I have just started casual work. I love that I am able to live the experience from what I have been thought. I love and understand children’s development more since I have studied in ALG. I love being around the children and understanding more what my job is about and how important to the children’s development.
The advice that I would give to the current and future ALG International Students would be is not to be afraid to ask for help. Making sure that you attend in class as makes it less stressful and make the most of getting to know everyone as they are all there to help and support one another”
COMMUNITY & HEALTH
“My name is Andres Felipe Serna Garcia, I’m 21 years old and originally from Medellin, Colombia.
I decided to move to Australia in 2019 after finishing high school. After finishing high school I always wanted experience living overseas where I could improve my English and meet different cultures. I was very confused about which city and country to choose but after looking at all the options I fell in love with Melbourne. The coffee culture, the cuisine, the people, and the culture made me love it.
After finishing my English course I decided to study Mental Health with ALG as I was interested in psychology or social work back in Colombia, and I found that this course would give me many of the skills I need for a future Bachelor degree.
I started my studies with ALG in January 2021, where I decided to enrol into a Diploma in Mental Health. The college has provided me with all the essential tools and knowledge to develop my professional career and has given me the confidence to be who I am today.
Today, I’m working as a Support Coordinator with the NDIS provider, More Than Support. Thanks to my studies, I gained knowledge that helps me deliver excellent service and apply best practices to all the participants, promoting their health and wellbeing.
I always recommend you to try your best and take advantage of any opportunity, take risks and challenge yourself to be better every day. Your classes, your teacher, and the lovely team from ALG want the best for you and your future career, and as the student ambassador I will always be happy to help you where possible.
My advice to current and future international students is to just be yourself and do your best. Listen and attend all classes because each day is very important and allows you to obtain the knowledge you need in your future.”
I am very thankful for this course and all the knowledge that I have gained since I started studying.”
