FAQ's on the Learning Portal (Canvas)
Your Leaning Portal login details would have been emailed to you prior to your first week of term. Please kindly check your registered email address. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders too!
If you are unable to locate your login details please contact the Student Services Team.
Feel free to view our Learning Portal Induction Video for Term 2, 2020 which will revise details on accessing, navigating and using your Learning Portal.
It will also touch on your other online student resources such as the Student Area and the Student Portal.
Once logged into the Learning Portal, Navigate to your Dashboard and click your applicable course. Then click on the Home navigation button on the left.
You should then be able to see your current timetable, split into the required sessions over your allocated study days.
Unfortunately, not at this point, however the only compulsory and live sessions are the webinars which run on each day of your timetable as per below:
- AM- 11:30AM-12:45PM, and
- PM 4:00PM-5:15PM
The other times provided in your session plan are a guide however they can be studied at a time that is more convenient for you. Just make sure to complete the other activities (Read/Watch/Self-review) prior to the webinar.
Your attendance will now be recorded in your Learning Portal. Once logged in, navigate to your applicable course and then select Attendance.
All assessments can now be submitted via your Learning Portal.
Simply navigate to your course and then select Assignments from the left navigation bar.
If you have any further questions you are able to initiate discussions with your trainer on the Learning Portal, by navigating to the Discussions tab on your left menu bar. These are subject based questions.
Any further questions you can email the trainer directly via the Learning Portal.
If you are having technical difficulties within your Learning Portal, please first try to speak with your Trainer to see if a solution can be found.

Yes! You can download the Canvas Student App to have access to your course materials, modules and sessions.
Where can I find my Course Material (such as course notes, assignment templates, additional readings, etc)?
All the required Course Materials are found within your Learning Portal, within the Modules section of your course.
