How do I access my Learning Portal?

Click here to access your Learning Portal.

This can also be found on your Student Area or by navigating directly to alg.edu.au/learningportal

Where can I find a guide on how to use my Learning Portal?

Once you have accessed your Learning Portal, please navigate to the Orientation Module which will contain extended resources and information on how to navigate through and utilize your portal.

It will also touch on your other online student resources such as the Student Area and the Student Portal.

Where can I view my study timetable?

Your class timetable can be found on your Student Portal.

Please access our Virtual Classroom Guide for a full comprehensive guide on using Zoom within your Learning Platform.

This will assist with any technical issues that you may face during your video sessions.

I am having technical trouble with my Learning Portal (I.e. can’t see the correct course of class)
If you are having technical difficulties within your Learning Portal, please first try to speak with your Trainer to see if a solution can be found.
At any time you able to get in touch with your Student Support Team directly by navigating to the Help section and clicking on Student Support Team.
Can I use my phone to access the Learning Portal?

Yes! You can download the Canvas Student App to have access to your course materials, modules and sessions.

What are my Learning Portal login details?

Your Leaning Portal login details would have been emailed to you prior to your first week of term. Please kindly check your registered email address. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders too!

If you are unable to locate your login details please contact the Student Services Team.

I have forgotten my password, how can I request a new one?
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself:

  1. Navigate to alg.edu.au/learningportal
  2. Click on the ‘Forgot Password?’ link
  3. Enter the email address ALG has registered for you
  4. Click on the ‘Request Password’ link
  5. Go to your email and reset your password
  6. Login to your Learning Portal
How can I get in contact with my trainer?

You are able to initiate discussions with your trainer on the Learning Portal, by navigating to the Discussions tab on your left menu bar. These are subject based questions.

Any further questions you can email the trainer directly via the Learning Portal.

How can I submit my assessments via the Learning Portal?

All assessments can now be submitted via your Learning Portal.

Simply navigate to your course and then select Assignments from the left navigation bar.

If you have any further questions you are able to initiate discussions with your trainer on the Learning Portal, by navigating to the Discussions tab on your left menu bar. These are subject based questions.

Any further questions you can email the trainer directly via the Learning Portal.

Where do I view my attendance?

Your attendance will now be recorded in your Learning Portal. Once logged in, navigate to your applicable course and then select Attendance.

Where can I find my Course Material (such as course notes, assignment templates, additional readings, etc)?

All the required Course Materials are found within your Learning Portal, within the Modules section of your course.
