STUDENT WELLBEING
We Made it Through Term 1 2021! 🙌
It is the holiday break! Term 1 2021 is done and dusted!! Congrats for making it through a quarter of the year already.
Time for a little bit of a mind refresher before continuing with your studies in Term 2! Get out to the beach while the weather is still sunny and warm, go out for lunches, meet up with friends and just kick back and relax while you have the free time.
Before coming back to classes, here are some quick tips to get yourself ready for the new term!
1. Get New Supplies!
Even just getting a new notebook, or a new writing pen does wonders for your mental health. You are starting a new term with new supplies; will help you keep that clear new mindset for a new term of classes.
2. Set a Weekly Schedule!
Plan out your weekly routine before classes start. Your timetable is available on your Student Portal, so be sure to plan your week effectively around your classes. Schedule in your work times, your study and homework times and of course make sure to schedule in your relax time too! Ensuring that you have a balanced week every week, is of top priority.
3. Prepare Yourself for Early Wake Ups!
In most cases, classes are starting at 8:30am meaning you will need a healthy amount of sleep to be able to travel to campus and properly pay attention in class. We are not saying you can’t sleep in on the holidays, of course catch up where you can and enjoy it, but the sooner you start getting to bed at a reasonable time, the easier it will be for you to start getting up early during the term!
And always remember, if you feel you are having any issues or are feeling a bit lost, your friendly Student Experience team are always here to help. Whether it is for classes, the campus, or for any kind of extra support, our staff are always available to you, so please come down to the office for a chat and we’ll happily help where we can or point you in the right direction.

“The best part about ALG is the supportive teachers, good facilities, and wide range of resources. After I finished Certificate III I found a job as a trainer straight away, mostly because of the motivation from my teachers. I love to help people achieve their goals, motivate them, teach them and be part of a very talented team.”
Advice to current and fure ALG International Students:
“Ther’s always opportunity if you want it and look for it. Do what you are really passionate about and always keep your knowledge up to date.”
