WELCOME TO TERM 4!

The final term of the year, the air is slowly getting warmer, we’re seeing more sunshine, and we’ve got Halloween just around the corner! This is the final stretch before summer break, so as per usual it’s time to buckle down and get those assessments planned out and ready.

Make note of all your due dates as early as you can, so that you can organise your study time and plan for the rest of the term.

As you are aware, classes are now underway so it’s time to put together your weekly routine, including sleep schedules, study time and much needed relaxation time in between. The earlier you get your weekly/fortnightly routine sorted out, the easier it will be to maintain throughout the term and keep the healthiest mindset!

Keeping the same routine throughout the term will help to keep all learnt information in your working memory and make assignment and exam work much easier.

NEW STUDENTS

Firstly, welcome to ALG! We hope your first weeks here have been fun and interesting!

Please ensure that you have your USI entered on the student portal, as we require this in order to be able to issue any qualifications during your time with the Australian Learning Group.

In the orientation course on Canvas, ensure to upload a photo (jpeg format) for your student ID so that your Student Experience team will be able to print your ID’s and have them ready for you.

For our Sydney and Melbourne students, we can send you a copy via email and you will be able to come and collect it once our campuses reopen.

Please contact your Student Experience Team if you have any questions or concerns. See below campus contact information.

In metro Melbourne right now, there are still only 6 reasons to leave home, with the newest addition of social interaction (outdoors only) once a day for up to 4 hours. Social gatherings are permitted outdoors between two people from a maximum of two households. Up to five people can socialise outdoors (excluding dependants), from two households, if every person over 18 years is fully vaccinated, and the travel limit has increased to 15km.

Currently, we are still not able to return to face-to-face learning so classes will remain online until further notice. Although our staff are not onsite, they are all working remotely and can be contacted via phone and email during business hours (8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday).

VACCINATION INFORMATION

If you have not yet booked in for your vaccination, you can find a booking on the Department of Health website.

MEET RUBEN

Ruben is one of our Sydney Fitness Trainers at ALG.

“I arrived in Sydney 9 years ago, and I started my fitness studies in the same college where I am teaching today ALG, and this for me is very exciting. Two years ago I started my own business as a Personal Trainer and I specialise in Body Transformations. I am also very passionate about helping my clients to create a strong mindset and support people to follow their dreams and passion, this passion led me to write and publish my first book ‘How to become your superhero’.

I believe that at this moment more than ever it is important to meditate or learn how to meditate. Because only when we are connected with ourselves we will be able to receive inspiration and move in the direction of what we really want.

By understanding who we really are and became the fittest version of ourselves, as there are no distractions and no excuses.”
