Diploma Early Childhood Education
For students who would like to take the next step in the Early Childhood Education career, this nationally recognised qualification is the perfect opportunity to build on the existing skills and knowledge acquired in the Certificate III. You will develop extensive skills and understanding of pedagogical practices, in depth knowledge to plan and implement an approved curriculum and also gain the confidence to lead a team.
The Diploma has a focus on creating engaging learning experiences and curriculum design for children that are fun,educationally guided and linked to the Early Years Learning Framework. Topics that will be covered in this course include:

As part of our practical approach to learning, both early childhood education and care qualifications include a mandatory work placement. The work placement is not only a vital part of our students’ education, it also provides them with great contacts to the industry.
Due to the hands-on nature of our courses, students will be well prepared by the time their work placement starts, ensuring that they enter it with confidence. As part of the work placement students will be evaluated on their performance when carrying out the acquired skills under workplace conditions.
Both courses can be undertaken without prior qualifications.
Students should however have a reasonable level of fitness since working in this industry can be physically demanding. It is important for you to be at eye level with children which means a lot of bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, stretching, and lifting
Students must also fulfil the College’s requirements for English proficiency.
